Linda's Message

What a joy it is to connect with you each month, as you open your hearts and minds to a greater awareness of your soul's journey. I feel so blessed to be a part of Abraham's teaching. Abraham and I are always excited to present their messages for the empowerment of your life.

I am very grateful for Abraham's message last month about love. I am just like you, I get caught up in everyday life challenges and forget to pay attention to my own needs, so I need a reminder too. We heard from many of you as to how much it helped you, so thank you for expressing your gratitude.

This has really started out to be a busy year. We have many events planned already and are continually booking more, so please check out our schedule.

Abraham is continuing this month to focus on the subject of Love as that is what we are in these physical bodies and lifetimes to learn about. So much of our Life path healing work is focused on relationship healing and issues experienced within those relationships. Gaining a greater understanding of what life is all about is so very beneficial for you in doing this work.

The work that Abraham and I do with others confirms for me that I am not the only one that struggles with family relationships. So many of you struggle with the same issues, but the knowledge that Abraham has provided me and their tools of healing have proven to be invaluable for my life, as I am sure they are for yours.

With a detailed diagram of my life plan and explanation of my chosen issues, it is much easier to understand and work with the many situations that occur within family relationships.

When Abraham explained to me that our spirits all chose to be together for this life time. I protested loudly, as I had my doubts that they were talking about my family. We had to be the exception because we were all so different. OK, well maybe I was the only "different" one, I am not sure, but my childhood experiences were difficult at times to say the least. I keep wondering, why would I have agreed to those experiences and relationships. But I did and they gave me a lot to learn from.

Abraham explained that those in my family were all from the same soul group and we loved each other so much on the spiritual level that we agreed to each learn from our differences and challenges through this lifetime together.

Well, that gave me something to think about. Our souls obviously understand the importance of love, to the extent that the soul was willing to experience pain and make sacrifices for the advancement of our soul's journey. Abraham explains that this particular type of love is beyond what the human consciousness understands on this level and that is why I have a difficult time understanding the choices made.

Eventually this knowledge helped me to understand my family challenges and achieve a forgiveness of the pain created between us. I look at our current struggles and think to myself, we are still working hard at trying to understand and overcome the issues we chose to experience together.

Through my work with people I have learned from Abraham that just because you have a soul agreement between family members does not mean that you have to stay in close contact with them if there is abuse within the relationships. Sometimes you experience the abuse so that you can learn to set boundaries and not continue to live in the negativity of the issue. This might mean that once you take back your power and a boundary is set, you no longer need a close physical relationship. This is part of the lesson - to no longer allow people to treat you in an abusive, disrespectful way, no matter who they are.

I hope this knowledge might help you achieve an understanding of your family relationships.

Abraham's Message

I am Abraham and We greet you with LOVE.

The word love is often used in your everyday language but, most of you may not truly understand it's meaning, how is it demonstrated in your life and how your experiences with it influences your soul's journey.

In our greeting for you the term "Love" is used as a demonstration of respect, compassion and support for your journey. Love can be a mystery, although desired, the perception of love is seldom understood as it holds many different definitions when spoken of or demonstrated in different situations.

There are many different perceptions of what relationship love is, and how it should be demonstrated. The word is used so loosely in your language that most of you may not stop to think about it's definition in different situations. One aspect of Love is an awareness of a desire for something or someone. It is connected to Joy, as love is the desire and joy is the resulting experience when the need is fulfilled.

You may express your desire and enjoyment of experiences such as chocolate, ice cream, or activities such as baseball or shopping and you call this attraction a "love" for these experiences. You may even say you love places such as Hawaii or Italy, this type of love gives you a feeling of satisfaction when your wants or desires are met.

You have been taught to use the word Love within many different situations with little thought of it's different meanings. So we now wish to provide you with a better understanding of Love within your relationships and how it affects your life and your beliefs.

The feelings or emotions that are shared between two or more people are described as Love, yet love is more than emotions or feelings it can also have a connection with physical experiences.

The human need for Love is a fundamental part of your existence. Although your entire existence is based on love, few of you fully understand love, as there are so many different aspects of Love.

Your souls were created from the loving heart of God, the divine source of all love. A seed of love was planted within your soul that needs to be continually nurtured. In the consciousness of your human existence whether you are giving love or receiving love, it typically gives you a sense of value, enabling you to feel good about yourself.

Love is experienced in all aspects of the being, physically, emotionally, mentally, even to the depth of the soul. Your very soul yearns to have this need for love fulfilled.

You seek love because it brings you a sense of joy, wholeness or well-being. Whether you feel love as a desire for a person or something of material nature, it is established and expressed as a need for something you value or have appreciation for. While sometimes it is not truly appreciated until you are at risk of losing it.

The definition of love when used in your interpersonal relationships should hold a different definition than the desire for something that meets a material need. Although sometimes in their confusion about love people may not see the difference.

Your perception of love began in your childhood experiences The type of love that you received or failed to receive from your core family is connected to your emotions, thoughts or feelings and it will continue to hold emotional memories that are subsequently connected to your heart and your soul. It is your connection with those experiences that create both your positive and negative belief system around love and the beliefs of who you are and the measure of love you are worthy of receiving in future relationships.

When we speak of the heart, we are not referring to the physical organ within the human body that provides an essential source of support for the body. We are referring to the core of the being that has the ability to experience all of the emotions connected with the human experience. God refers to this core energy as the "heart and soul" of the being. It holds the essence of God's compassion that he has instilled within each of you. Some of you have more awareness with this emotional energy than others and of it's importance.

Throughout your life you frequently experience relationships that will carry you through the whole spectrum of what love can be. Life is about love. Your need for love whether demonstrated as approval, acceptance or support propels you into situations allowing you to experience your issues. These relationships can be between family members, intimate partners, friendships or co-workers.

You first experience your need for love as children and that need for love will continue through all of your relationships. You will find the need for love as the base emotion that attracts you to the relationship experience but in these relationships you are unconsciously playing out your issues also. These are all seen as puzzle pieces for your life purpose.

As children, your first conscious perception of love is created through your relationship with your parents, siblings or the child's caretaker. Prior to your birth, your soul has already established it's life purpose, connections have been established between your soul and others. This assures that you will have the greatest opportunity in attaining growth and awareness through your life experience. Through agreement those chosen souls then become your family and significant relationships. There is always a purpose being fulfilled in every relationship.

Even prior to birth the soul has aligned itself to a specific definition of love, typically aligned to the chosen personality type.

We hear parents amazed by the differences in their children's personality types and as well as the early stage that the child demonstrates these distinct personalities. Childhood experiences will influence some of the future personality traits but the strongest traits are established within the soul and it's chosen life purpose.

The type of love the child originally experiences and the experiences that come with this love often set the pattern for what you will experience in your future relationships. As this becomes your expectation of love, not your definition, these are two very different definitions.

What you are shown in your core family experiences may not meet your soul's need of love. I am sure you can see how this would be confusing, as the child's perception of love becomes distorted by the feeling of pain or rejection when the child intuitively senses that it's needs for love are not being fulfilled. This may be when a belief of unworthiness is established.

Although the type of love you experienced in your family of origin may not be the type of love you are searching for in your intimate relationships, it is often what you attract to you due to the issues you have chosen to experience.

For the child, love may have been demonstrated in an hurtful way due to abandonment, judgment, betrayal, control or abuse. Thus distorting the true meaning of love for the child and creating a belief system that is carried forward into it's future relationships.

Although the spirit of the child and the spirit of the parent chose to experience issues together, the intensity of the experience was chosen by the parent. This is where the choice of karma is created.

Who is Abraham:

Every month I have new readers join our newsletter list. I was reminded that not everyone is familiar with the Abraham Group that I work with. I apologize for neglecting to share this important information with you.

Abraham is a group consciousness of high vibrational spiritual beings. That is a long title for a group of beings that work for God. Their purpose is to bring humanity the wisdom and guidance of God for the advancement of our soul's journey. They do not function with ego but much of their work is done though human channels. They have chosen multiple people to work through in delivering their messages. Although Abraham works with many channels, their most well known channel is Esther Hicks. She has been channeling their messages and writing books with them for over 30 years.

Their messages can be both individual or global depending on the situation. Each channel gives the same message yet often in a slightly different way due to our personality. You each receive knowledge differently, and often need to hear it multiple time before applying to to your life. The Abraham group focus on positive intent and empowerment for our lives.

Spirit presented this group to me as my teachers about 11 years ago when my awareness of my spiritual journey began. During this time, they have continually assisted me with my own spiritual development, as well as our work in helping others heal their lives. They have channeled their guidance through the books we have written and the workshops we teach.
